Statement about the work and myself

I have submitted with four collections, 1) Colours beyond the QUAKE, inspired by Sichuan earthquake, 2) Coco, the little white dress, inspired by Coco Chanel, 3) The wooden doll ballet dance, inspired by the wooden doll, and 4) Accounting’s night party, inspired by Accounts.

These four collections include both ready-to-wear and evening wear, which shows my variety on different types of clothing. Besides, these collections also show my creativity in design.

With my dream to become a fashion designer, I found that lacking of official training in fashion design creates me a barrier to achieve my goal. That is why I would like to take a Fashion Design degree course and would like to pursue this subject in depth.

By having a degree course in Accounting and Finance, it provides me with a decent job, however, fashion offers me a life-time passion. During these years, I joined the fashion design competition organized by the Hong Kong Arts and Design Festival, attended two short courses at Central Saint Martins in the summer of 2008 and attended classes in areas of Fashion Model Illustration Techniques, Fashion Design and Dressmaking. By joining different courses, it equipped me with skills and knowledge in fashion design and it totally widen up my horizon in the fashion industry.

I believe my passion, my interest and my determination could make my dream come true. I look forward to the challenges of university and opportunities ahead.
